Dongzhi Festival(Winter Solstice)
The Dongzhi Festival(Winter Solstice Festival) is one of the most important Chinese festivals. Traditionally, the Dongzhi Festival is a time for the family to get together. In Southern China, people eat tang-yuan(glue pudding)，which means reunion ; and in northern of China, people typically eat jiao-zi(dumpling) to celebrate this festival. The origins of this festival can be traced back to the yin and yang philosophy of balance and harmony in the cosmos.
